This is the privacy statement of SAMM-Electronics, having its registered offices in 9363 TJ MARUM at Poortweg 3 (hereinafter referred to as: SAMM-Electronics), www.samm-electronics.com.
Scope of application
This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data that you provide to us, for example via a registration form, contact form or orders that you place. We attach great importance to the privacy of our customers and therefore exercise the greatest possible care in our handling and protection of personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). SAMM-Electronics is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR with regard to the processing of your personal data. This means that only we determine which personal data is processed, for what purpose and how. We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed in a proper and careful manner in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement we explain what data we process and for what purposes it is used.

- IP address of a website visitor
Purpose and bases of processing personal data
By agreeing to this privacy statement, you explicitly consent, within the meaning of Article 6 paragraph 1a of the GDPR, to the processing of your personal data for the purposes set out below. You can revoke this consent at any time. However, if you do not provide certain data to us or do not allow us to process it, we may not be able to provide you with a proper service. If you have not given us explicit permission to process your personal data or if you have withdrawn this permission, the processing of your personal data may be subject to Articles 6(1)(b), (c) and/or (f) of the GDPR. In that case your personal data can be processed without your permission, provided this is necessary for the performance of an agreement to which you are a party, or is necessary for the representation of the legitimate interests of SAMM-Electronics. We may also have a legal obligation to process your personal data.
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To comply with the agreement that we have concluded with you, in particular:
- To deliver the goods or services to you
- To settle your payment
- To send you our newsletter and/or promotional leaflets
- To call or e-mail you if this is necessary for the performance of the agreement concluded with you
- To inform you about changes to our products and services
We will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected.
Transferring data to third parties
We may share your personal data with third parties if this is compatible with the above mentioned purposes. It may be necessary to transfer your data to third parties for the performance of the agreement we enter into with you, for the protection of a legitimate interest of ours, or to comply with any legal obligation incumbent upon us. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data. We remain responsible for these processing operations. Other than in the above situations, we will only transfer your personal data to other third parties with your express consent. We also use personal data for market research and to optimise our services. In this context, your personal data will be anonymised and can no longer be traced back to you.
Commercial purposes
Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes unless you give your explicit consent.
We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, for example to provide you with further information about our services or relevant products or services from carefully selected organisations. In that case, you will only be informed using the e-mail address you have registered. If you do not wish to receive information about relevant products or services, you can indicate this simply by clicking on "unsubscribe" in the received email.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you visit this website for the first time. You can opt out of accepting cookies by configuring your Internet browser so that it no longer stores them. You can also delete any information that was saved earlier in your browser’s settings.

Functional cookies: these are cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your user experience. They ensure that the website works properly and remember your preferred settings, for example. This also enables us to optimise our website. These are analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy and do not require your prior consent.
Tracking cookies: we place cookies that track your browsing behaviour so that we can offer customized content and advertisements. When you visit our website for the first time, we inform you about these cookies and ask for permission to place them. You can opt out of cookies use by setting your Internet browser so that it no longer saves cookies. You can also delete any information that was saved earlier in your browser’s settings.
Google Analytics: on this website, cookies are placed by the U.S. company Google, as part of the "Analytics" service. SAMM-Electronics uses this service to obtain reports on how the website is used and to measure its quality and effectiveness. We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Dutch Data Protection Authority in order to fall under the exception in the cookie legislation, as a result of which we do not require your prior consent for the use of Google Analytics.
Access, rectification or erasure
You have the right to access, rectify, erase or limit the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data. If we are no longer allowed to process your data, this may have an adverse effect on the fulfilment of our agreement or may result in the termination of our agreement. You have a right to transfer your data ('data portability') if we have digital personal data that we process either with your consent or to perform an agreement that we have concluded with you. This means that you can ask us to send the personal data that we have about you in a readable computer file to you or to another organisation. You can send a request to access, rectify, erase, or transfer your personal data or to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@samm-electronics.com.
To verify that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send us a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks at the latest. We would also like to point out that you have the right to lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Data Protection Authority.
